Check back weekly throughout the season to see which team from your school has been named the Champion Team of the Week. Being selected as a Champion Team of the Week is all about how you play: sportsmanship, spirit, participation and fun are what we'll be watching for. Winners will enjoy their 15 minutes of fame in the comfort and style of new Champion hoodies. You can pick your school by using the menu to the right.

PURDUE UNIVERSITY
ANN TWEEDALE
And our Champion Team of the Week is…Ann Tweedale! Let me have IM/Rec explain why they were selected: “Ann Tweedale was chosen as our team of the week because it was the most fun I've had in watching a game and deciding who should win. I knew from the start that they would be hard to pass up when they were excited just to be out there before the game. The team had tremendous sportsmanship through out the entire game in which they dominated by making great plays on defense to set up scores for the offense. The team was more excited than I could have ever imagined after being chosen as the winners.”
Ann Tweedale is a co-operative house at Purdue and this house has had a “team” since 1937. They are an enthusiastic bunch (see above) that deserves the hoodies they were awarded. Congratulations!

GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
EAS-EARTH, WIND & FIRE
EAS-Earth, Wind and Fire are this week’s Champion Team of the Week because they are one of the top 2 co-rec teams and have a perfect sportsmanship rating. They are all members of the Earth and Atmospheric Science department, so Earth, Wind and Fire represent what they’re all about. I am not sure if that also describes how they play on the field-- digging it out to get the short yardage, running like the wind, and lighting the scoreboard on fire…but we do know that they gather together after the games and talk about what went well and what didn’t and they give out the “game ball” to one of the players. And just because they are scientists and engineers doesn’t mean that they are without heart—they let teammate Patrick miss a game because his wife was in labor and didn’t even make him run extra laps!

ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY
SALTINE UNITED
We may never know why or how this team came up with the name “Saltine United”, as it is an inside joke about players on their team, but we do know that this team has consistently maintained an above average sportsmanship rating, which is why they are our Champion Team of the Week.
This is the first year for this group of freshmen who have been friends since high school but they should not be overlooked. They beat the best in their league this year with a last second Touchdown. And my guess is that it was a long pass, as they have said that they play “New Orleans Saints style-Air it out!” The next time you hear them warming up to “Bring 'em Out”, check them out in their new Champion hoodies! Congratulations!
ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY
ALPHA EPSILON DELTA
This week’s Team of the Week certainly knows the keys to staying healthy and being successful—
- Be open to new ideas—this is their first year playing together
- Get regular exercis—playing flag football each week
- Laugh a lot—they have a great time on the field, win or lose
- Visualize your outcome—they always wear red to signify Power
Oh, and we may have forgot one—if they need any advice, they can just ask each other because all of them are members of the Health Pre Professional Honors Society (Alpha Epsilon Delta), which is where they got their start. Who knew that in such a short time they would have risen to the heights of Intramuals as to be the Team of the Week? Congratulations!
